EDITORIAL SERVICES

Every editor sees more than his share of sloppily written, carelessly proofread manuscripts—manuscripts loaded with clumsily constructed and/or grammatically incorrect sentences, as well as numerous spelling and punctuation errors. Because of such authorial sloppiness, many a submission is rejected without being read in its entirety.

As First Senior Editor of Mysterical-E, and as a former Fiction Editor and then Managing Editor of Futures Mystery Anthology Magazine, I've acquired a fair amount of experience proofreading and copy-editing written material, particularly fiction. If you have a manuscript in need of proofing for spelling, punctuation, grammatical errors and awkward constructions, send it to me before you submit it. (I can also edit fiction for plot, structure, characterization and so forth, depending upon how comprehensive an edit you require.) I'll go through it and point out corrections that need to be made, and make suggestions as to how you can repair the clumsy passages.

E-mail me at barry_ergang@comcast.net with a brief description of the type of material, the word count and page count, letting me know precisely what you want done, and I'll get back to you with a quote. I accept payment via Paypal.

I can't promise you'll sell your work, but I can assure you it will look professional when you submit it to editors.
